USOPC Mental Health and Mental Performance Directories

Mental health and mental performance directory participants along with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee’s (USOPC) full-time medical and mental health staff provide collaborative, integrated, multidisciplinary health care services to athletes registered at the US Olympic & Paralympic Training Centers & Sites (OPTC) in Colorado Springs, CO, Chula Vista, CA and Lake Placid, NY, and remotely.

Directory members must meet the following criteria to qualify for the USOPC Mental Health and/or Mental Performance Directory:

Active US license (for USOPC Mental Health Directory) in designated mental health field or a certification as Certified Mental Performance Consultant (for the USOPC Mental Performance Directory).
Actively engaged in providing care for elite athletes for at least five (5) years.
Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds and abilities.
Experience using an Electronic Medical Record system.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of elite athletic culture and associated relationships (i.e., coaches, service providers, etc.).
No felony or health care fraud convictions.
No disciplinary actions on clinical license(s) or certification(s).
No actions, sanctions or discipline on clinical privileges or employment as the result of sexual abuse/harassment or substance abuse.
The USOPC must be notified by the directory member of any pending criminal charges or disciplinary action by any medical organization, board, or licensing agency as soon as they are filed at any time while serving in the USOPC mental health directory program.
Must have malpractice insurance:

Policy minimum is $1,000,000 - $3,000,000
Provide a current copy of the declarations page
Directory members must disclose any malpractice claims
